Jakarta, September 5, 2023 - The Indonesia GenAI Hackathon 2023 finals were held in Jakarta on September 5, 2023. The competition was attended by four teams from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Makassar. The four teams were Pizzicato (Jakarta), Heistag (Bandung), Skyshi (Yogyakarta), and SUNTECHINDONESIA (Makassar). They presented their best ideas and solutions using generative AI technology in the finals of the Indonesia GenAI Hackathon.

After facing various challenges among the four finalists, SUNTECHINDONESIA from Makassar emerged as the winner. The SUNTECHINDONESIA team developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform focusing on the healthcare industry. The platform can provide accurate and personalized dental care recommendations based on patient data through generative AI, eliminating the need to record appointments and providing a summary of the patient's dental history for subsequent visits.

Indra, one of the members of the SUNTECHINDONESIA team, stated, "This event was amazing; we have learned a lot of new things and built new connections. We hope that more people in the market will be able to accept our product, DentixAI, a platform that we will continue to develop, as a solution for dentists to improve efficiency in patient examinations."

This victory became the proudest moment for SUNTECHINDONESIA after competing with more than 40 registered teams, which are just as skillful as theirs, and facing intense competition. They successfully won first place and prizes: a 4-day, 3-night trip to Hangzhou and a cash prize of USD 5,000.

The Indonesia GenAI Hackathon 2023 was held with great fanfare, an event in collaboration between Alibaba Cloud, Indigo, MDI Ventures, and Telkomsigma through Flou. The organizers hope that the end of this competition will encourage innovation in the field of AI in Indonesia. They also hope that the brilliant ideas of the participants can be applied in reality, contribute to the nation's advancement, and help to realize the digital transformation in Indonesia.
